All those things that lurk beyond and distract from working with productively and creatively with students.
Chip Rome is a consultant and theatre educator and director who has worked in New York, London, Boston, Los Angeles and Washington D.C. for over 35 years. He is past president of the Theatre Arts Directors Association; serves on the Governing Board of CAPPIES International; and has been Director of Theatre Arts at TASIS England, Robinson Secondary School and McLean High School. He has directed over 200 productions and toured with performing students to Off-Broadway and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He has presented at numerous conferences including EdTA, AATE, ATHE, VTA and SETC, and has written an auditorium safety manual, a pilot program for training new theatre teachers, state standards of learning, programs of study and an administrative handbook. He is co-author of the theatre methods textbook Real-World Theatre Education.
Zoë Dillard is a consultant and theatre educator who has worked at the Morehead Elementary Magnet Arts School, the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Westfield Summer Stage and Herndon High School in Fairfax County, Virginia. She has directed Shakespeare plays at the Folger Library Student Festival in Washington, D.C. and written original musicals with collaborators Don Halterman and Colby Dezelick. She has presented at the North Carolina Theatre Conference, the American Alliance for Theatre and Education and the Southeast Theatre Conference.
